Welcome to Line Time. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, requesting a quote, or engaging Line Time for any home maintenance services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Line Time provides professional home maintenance services, including but not limited to:

  • Plumbing services and repairs
  • Construction and remodeling
  • Electrical work and installations
  • Painting and finishing
  • HVAC services
  • General maintenance and repairs

All services are performed by licensed, insured, and qualified professionals in accordance with applicable laws and industry standards.

3. Service Agreement

Quotes and Estimates

All quotes and estimates provided are preliminary and subject to change based on actual conditions discovered during the course of work. We will notify you of any significant changes to the scope or cost before proceeding.

Scheduling and Appointments

Service appointments are scheduled based on availability. We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled time window. Emergency services are available 24/7 and will be prioritized accordingly.

Access to Property

You agree to provide Line Time with reasonable access to your property to perform the requested services. You are responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and for securing pets and valuables.

Changes to Service

Any changes to the agreed-upon scope of work must be documented in writing and may result in additional charges. We reserve the right to refuse service if conditions are deemed unsafe or if additional work is declined that is necessary for proper completion.

4. Payment Terms

Pricing

All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and are subject to applicable taxes. Pricing may vary based on the complexity of the work, materials required, and time involved.

Payment Methods

We accept various forms of payment including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and checks. Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in writing.

Late Payments

Invoices not paid within 30 days of the invoice date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum rate permitted by law, whichever is lower.

Deposits

For larger projects, we may require a deposit of up to 50% of the estimated cost before commencing work. Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.

5. Warranties and Guarantees

Service Warranty

We stand behind our work. Line Time provides a warranty on labor for a period of one (1) year from the date of service completion. This warranty covers defects in workmanship but does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Modifications or repairs by unauthorized parties
  • Acts of nature or circumstances beyond our control

Product Warranty

Products and materials installed by Line Time are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We will assist you in processing warranty claims but are not responsible for manufacturer defects.

Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period. We will inspect the issue and, if covered, repair or replace the defective work at no charge.

6. Limitation of Liability

IMPORTANT NOTICE

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINE TIME'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Line Time shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Damages to property not directly caused by our negligence
  • Pre-existing conditions or defects not disclosed to us
  • Damage caused by following your specific instructions against our professional recommendation

7. Insurance and Licensing

Line Time maintains appropriate licenses and insurance coverage, including general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Proof of insurance is available upon request.

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Customer Cancellations

You may cancel or reschedule an appointment with at least 24 hours' notice without penalty. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to $75.

Our Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to emergencies, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will provide as much notice as possible and reschedule at your convenience.

Project Cancellations

For ongoing projects, if you cancel after work has begun, you will be responsible for payment for all work completed, materials purchased, and any non-refundable deposits.

9. Emergency Services

Our 24/7 emergency service is available for urgent situations such as burst pipes, gas leaks, electrical hazards, and other immediate threats to safety or property. Emergency service rates apply and will be disclosed prior to service.

10. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the required services
  • Disclose any known hazards or special conditions
  • Obtain any necessary permits (unless we have agreed to obtain them)
  • Ensure that working areas are accessible and safe
  • Make timely payments for services rendered
  • Follow any maintenance instructions provided

11. Property Damage and Claims

While we take every precaution to protect your property, accidents can happen. If you believe we have damaged your property:

  1. Notify us immediately, preferably before we leave the premises
  2. Document the damage with photographs
  3. Submit a written claim within 10 days
  4. Allow us to inspect and assess the damage

Claims not reported within 30 days of service completion will not be considered.

12. Permits and Compliance

Line Time will obtain necessary permits for work when agreed upon. You are responsible for ensuring that all work complies with local codes, HOA regulations, and other requirements. We make reasonable efforts to comply with all applicable codes, but you acknowledge that requirements may vary by jurisdiction.

13. Subcontractors

We may use qualified subcontractors to perform certain services. All subcontractors are properly licensed, insured, and vetted. We remain responsible for their work and conduct.

14. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Line Time and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use our content without written permission.

15. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with Line Time, please contact us first to attempt to resolve the matter informally. We are committed to customer satisfaction and will work with you in good faith.

Arbitration

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive your right to participate in class actions or class arbitrations.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Line Time harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misuse of our services
  • Pre-existing conditions you failed to disclose
  • Your negligence or willful misconduct

17. Force Majeure

Line Time shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or government actions.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any written service agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and Line Time regarding our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

20. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

21. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which Line Time operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
